Privacy

This site is a notice board for a game server. It has no accounts, no logins and no forms. Here is everything it does with your data.

What the site does

Visitor statistics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets cookies and sends your browser's details and a shortened version of your IP address to Google. You can block it with any ad blocker or the Google Analytics opt-out.

Advertising. Some pages may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's ad settings.

Server status. The "right now" box on the home page asks the DZSA Launcher's public service (dayzsalauncher.com) how many players are online. That request comes from your browser, so dayzsalauncher.com sees your IP address, as any website you open does.

Fonts. The typefaces load from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when it serves them.

Logging in with Discord. Logging in is optional. If you do, Discord tells us your Discord ID, display name, avatar and whether you're a member of our Discord server. A cookie in your browser remembers that for 7 days, so you stay logged in. We don't store it anywhere else. We never see your Discord password, messages or friends. "Log out" clears the cookie, and you can remove our access at any time in Discord under Settings, Authorized Apps. The login runs on Cloudflare, which sees your IP address like any host does.

Hosting. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs requests for security, as described in GitHub's privacy statement.

What it doesn't do

It doesn't store anything you type, because there's nowhere to type. It doesn't know who you are in the game. Nothing on this site is linked to your Steam account or your in-game character.

Questions go to the admins on Discord.
